These look like you can’t fit a whole lot in them, but yes, you can! I use mine when we go out once in a while as a purse and my younger sister uses hers every day.

Now here is all you can fit in the backpack and all of its compartments:

1 iPhone 6 with an over-sized case

1 normal hoodie

1 book (normal size)

12 bracelets (lokai)

2 normal sized bottles of Vitamin Water

1 wallet

A LOT of Kleenex

and more…

This backpack has so many different compartments. The flap on the center you lift up and unbotton, then there is a zippered pouch where you can fit almost all of your bigger items and inside there is a place to put your phone and/or wallet. On each side there are two littler pouches where I put an eos lipbalm in one and some spare change in the other. The bottom space has just enough room to put some glasses or a wallet or some littler belongings.

I usually take it with me to theme parks or to carnivals and it carries everything I need and when I go on water rides, nothing inside gets wet! Where has this been all my life? Below is a diagram of some more cool features about this backpack:
